OYMEN: ''GOVERNMENT IS INDIFFERENT TO CYPRUS''
Republican People's Party (CHP) deputy leader Onur Oymen said that they would submit a motion to the parliament to discuss the additional protocol and German parliament's resolution envisaging commemoration of so-called Armenian genocide. Oymen stated that if the additional protocol was signed, Turkish Cypriots would have to leave the island or accept to be second-class citizens, adding, ''the government is not aware of the importance of the issue or it is indifferent to the issue.''
OPERATION AGAINST BALKANER
Saving Deposits Insurance Fund (TMSF) took the charge of management of 10 companies belonging to Ali Balkaner who was sentenced to 34 years and seven months in prison in Yurtbank case.

GUL: ''TURKEY IS DETERMINED ON ITS EU WAY''
Turkish Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said, ''we cannot say that tension in the European Union (EU) will not affect enlargement and Turkey.'' Noting that Turkey was determined on its EU path, Gul stated that they would continue fulfilling reforms.

MERCEDES'S INVESTMENT IN ISTANBUL
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan inaugurated Mercedes-Benz Turk's bus manufacturing facilities in Hosdere district of Istanbul. Erdogan said that they were glad to open this important facilities of Mercedes-Benz, stating that Mercedes should also manufacture cars in Turkey. He stressed that there was a great progress in the automotive sector in Turkey, noting that he expected that exports by automotive sector would reach 15 billion USD this year.
OSS TO BE HELD TODAY
The university entrance exam (OSS) will be held throughout Turkey today. A total of 1,730,850 high-school graduates will take the three-hour exam. The exam will start at 9.30 a.m. and last for three hours. Results of the exam are expected to be made public in July.

GUL: ''ENTRY TALKS WILL BEGIN ON OCTOBER 3RD''
Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul remarked that entry talks with the EU will begin on October 3rd. ''We can not ignore the concerns in Europe. The standards in the EU will be raised,'' told Gul.
EU FACES MANY DILEMMAS
After France and the Netherlands voted ''no'' to the European Union Constitution, the recent EU Summit in Brussels ended in confusion. All of EU's policies, including the ones on enlargement, will get negatively affected by the ''no'' votes, said EU sources.

REAL ESTATE PRICES BOOM
Convenient bank credits and rumors on mortgage system have caused a boom in real estate prices throughout Turkey. Real estate agents say that real estate prices have increased rapidly recently. ''All potential real estate investors must be careful when buying,'' said a real estate expert.
JUNCKER: ''THE EU IS IN A DEEP CRISIS''
Luxembourg's Prime Minister Jan Claude Juncker stated that the EU is in a deep crisis. ''Different European mentalities clashed with each other. I feel ashamed. I am disappointed but we must not let the towel be thrown in the arena,'' told Juncker.
