Turkey & U.S. Support Each Other's Counter-terrorism Efforts, Edelman

ISTANBUL - Turkey and the United States are supporting each other's efforts to fight against terrorism, U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Eric Edelman said on Friday.
Attending a reception held at U.S. Consulate General in Istanbul to celebrate the 229th anniversary of the Independence Day, Edelman said that his country was working to settle democracy in the entire world.
Edelman noted that there were similarities between the independence struggles of Turkey and the United States, and stressed that his country had always supported Turkey's modernization.
Eric Edelman expressed belief that two countries would maintain their cooperation also from now on.
