12th International Istanbul Jazz Festival

ISTANBUL - The 12th Istanbul International Jazz Festival will take place from July 6th to 17th.
Speaking in a news conference organized to inform public opinion, Berin Opcin, the director of the festival said that ''we've particularly chosen unique places in Istanbul so that people who come to Istanbul for the festival can also see the beauties of the city.''
The opening gala of the conference will be held in Esma Sultan Yali on July 5th and famous musicians and singers like David Sanborn, Elvis Costello band, Tori Amos, Dianne Reeves and Jamie Cullum will take stage.
More than 40 music bands and more than 200 Turkish and foreign musicians will give concerts during the festival.
The concerts will be given at Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Stage, Babylon, Sepetciler Kasri, Bogazici University, Garanti Cultural Centre, Ayhan Sahenk Hall, Ses Theatre and Ajia.
