Hauer: Turkey Recorded Progress In Macro-economic Stability Program And Structural Reforms

ANKARA - Ulrike Hauer, head of the Delegation of the European Commission to Turkey for economy, said that in recent years, Turkey has recorded great progress both in macro-economic stability program and structural reforms.
Speaking to A.A correspondent on Thursday, Hauer said that the issues on which Turkey will have to work during EU entry talks are structural reforms and financial sector reforms.
Hauer said that many things have been fulfilled, but they are not completed yet. Hauer added that issues which have to be implemented are pursued within the scope of International Monetary Fund (IMF) program.
Noting that unemployment issue will certainly be discussed during entry talks, Hauer said that reforms for social security system are also important.
Hauer said that support to medium scale enterprises, public finance control as well as adaptation of EU acquis to domestic market are among the difficult issues of EU entry talks.
Hauer said that Turkey has already taken steps in these areas, adding that they are trying to support Turkey in these issues.
