TASHKENT, Jan 15 (A.A) - Turkish-Uzbek Business Council Chairman Mehmet Ali Neyzi and accompanying delegation finalized their contacts in Uzbek capital Tashkent on Tuesday.
Responding questions of the A.A correspondent, Neyzi who has been holding contacts with Uzbek officials for the last two days, said that they had held contacts with representatives of textile, leather, construction, foodstuff, industry and small scale enterprises sectors in Uzbekistan.
''We held a very positive meeting with Foreign Economic Relations Minister Elyor Ganiyev of Uzbekistan. Ganiyev said that Uzbekistan aimed at cooperating with Turkish businessmen in setting up commercial relations with third countries and in assisting Afghanistan in its rebuilding process,'' he said.
Neyzi said that they had proposed the Uzbek side to hold Turkey-Uzbekistan Joint Economic Commission meeting in Tashkent in March or in April, and added, ''however, the Uzbek side told us that they were not ready.''
The delegation is expected to return to Turkey on Wednesday.
