ANKARA (AA) - Deniz Baykal, the leader of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), left on Sunday for Spain to attend the meeting of the Socialist International (SI).
Baykal, who will be the guest of Spanish Prime Minister Luis Rodrigez Zapatero during his stay in this country, will attend the farewell dinner to be hosted by SI President Antonio Gutterres tomorrow (Monday).
Gutterres has been elected as the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
New president of SI will be elected on Monday, while Baykal is expected to return to Turkey on Tuesday (June 14th).
