ANKARA (AA) - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Greek Prime Minister Costas Caramanlis are expected to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony of the Turkish-Greek natural gas pipeline project.
The ceremony for laying foundation of the pipeline will be held on July 3rd.
Energy & Natural Resources Ministry officials told A.A correspondent that the contract on the construction of land portion of the Turkish-Greek pipeline was expected to be signed in June.
The project will be completed within 15 months and it will start to operate in 2006.
Once the pipeline is completed, natural gas will flow via Turkey to Greece and to other European countries.
