ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish Health Minister Recep Akdag completed his meetings in Israel and Palestine and returned to Turkey on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport, Akdag said that he visited Israel as the guest of Israeli Health Minister Danny Naveh and went to many hospitals there.
Akdag said that they decided to work together with Israel in training of students and experts in health field.
Akdag said he later proceeded to Palestine and met Health Minister Zihni al-Wiheidi, visited hospitals in Gaza and Ramallah and determined the needs of those hospitals. Akdag said that they decided to cooperate with Palestinian hospitals.
Noting that there was a serious need for health service in Gaza, Akdag said that Turkey considered giving medical treatment to some Palestinian patients free of charge (in Turkey).
