Turkish - Greek Cypriot Children's Assembly Set Up In N Cyprus

LEFKOSA (AA) - ''Children's Assembly'' comprised of Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot children was set up in Dipkarpaz region of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on Friday.
TRNC Parliament Speaker Fatma Ekenoglu, who received a group of members of this ''Children's Assembly'', said that adults should take lessons from this joint initiative of Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot children.
''We will continue to support peaceful steps,'' added Ekenoglu.
On the other hand, Dipkarpaz Mayor Arif Albayrak said that children elected a president and vice-president, and formed a commission, and expressed pleasure with this close friendship among children.
