Turkey To Purchase 12 Helicopters From U.S. Skorsky Company

NEW YORK (AA) - Turkey agreed with U.S. Skorsky company to purchase 12 helicopters worth of 389 million USD.
Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is currently in New York, will give government's consent to the purchase during his visit to the Skorsky facilities today.
Turkish National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul told reporters that Turkey is on the second place at the list of helicopter buyers of Skorsky company after the U.S. army. Skorsky company has sold 125 helicopters to Turkey so far.
Gonul noted that bargaining for the purchase was held by a military-technical delegation, adding that delivery of helicopters will be made within 3-4 years.
