Police Arrest 66 Illegal Immigrants In Manisa

MANISA (AA) - Turkish police arrested 66 foreigners who wanted to go abroad illegally in western Manisa city on Thursday.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested 66 foreigners including one woman hiding in a lorry (which was left) in the city.
The illegal immigrants were from Somali, Iraq, Palestine, Sudan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Kenya and Ethiopia.
The immigrants told the police that they paid money to human smugglers to go to Greece illegally. They will be deported once the legal proceedings are completed.
