JERUSALEM/ANKARA (AA) - Second meeting of the Ankara Forum for economic cooperation among Palestine, Israel and Turkey was held in eastern Jerusalem on Thursday.
Chairman of Union of Chambers & Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) issued a written statement saying delegations of Palestine, Israel and Turkey attended the meeting that was held yesterday (Wednesday).
Issues for future cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
TOBB Chairman Rifat Hisarciklioglu said Ankara Forum contributed to direct communication, and stated that, ''I think Ankara Forum has direct contribution dialogue and communication.''
Hisarciklioglu said problems should be overcome one by one, and noted that this approach showed the ways for future cooperation.
In a joint statement issued after the Ankara Forum, it was reported that a decision was made for formation of a contact group in which two participants will be included from each delegation.
The participants also decided to set up a tripartite study group to assess tourism facilities.
Reports that will be prepared by the study groups will be presented to Third Ankara Forum that will be held in September 2005. Third Ankara Forum will take place by mid September 2005.
