ISTANBUL (AA) - The Association of Turkish Industrialists & Businessmen (TUSIAD) will attend the Second Council of President Meeting of the Union of Industrial and Employers Confederations of Europe (UNICE) in Luxembourg on Friday.
TUSIAD stated today (Thursday) that it will give the message that proposals like privileged partnership do not exist on their agenda.
The Confederation of Employers' Unions (TISK) Chairman Tugrul Kudatgobilik and Secretary General Bulent Pirler will also attend the meeting.
UNICE is the voice of European business world.
Regarding recent developments in the EU and Turkey's EU membership, TUSIAD Chairman Omer Sabanci will give the message that a broader and stronger EU is necessary for increase in prosperity level and settlement of peaceful milieu in the world. He will also ask the participants not to attach importance to prejudiced approaches about debates on Turkey.
Sabanci will say, ''Turkish business world considers current political and institutional uncertainties within the EU as short-term issues. Turkey's EU membership which is a medium-term process should not be influenced by this. Proposals like privileged partnership do not exist on our agenda.''
