ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkcell, the leading provider of mobile communications services in Turkey, became the first GSM operator in the world which is awarded with the Investors In People (IIP) certificate representing international human resources standards.
Releasing a statement, Turkcell said that the company supporting personal development of its staff, their active participation in business processes, and their creativity through several communication and training practices, would further strengthen its human resources strategies with IIP standards certifying good practice in improving business performance through people excellence.
Previously, Turkcell was awarded the Institute of Public Relations' (IPR) Excellence Awards, one of the most prestigious awards in the public relations field, for its educational project ''Contemporary Girls of Contemporary Turkey''.
The ''Contemporary Girls of Contemporary Turkey'' project provides scholarships for 5,000 girls in rural areas of Turkey.
