Prime Minister Erdogan Meets World Bank President Wolfowitz

WASHINGTON D.C. (AA) - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a bilateral meeting with World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz on Tuesday.
Following the meeting, Wolfowitz, who took over his new mission on June 1st, told reporters that Turkey's economic reform program yielded very good results.
Wolfowitz expressed his belief that Turkey would maintain its constructive relations with the World Bank.
Turkish State Minister Ali Babacan for Economy said that efforts to reduce unemployment in Turkey was high on agenda of Erdogan-Wolfowitz meeting.
Meanwhile, sources said that Wolfowitz eulogized Turkish economy during the meeting, and highlighted importance of the project aiming to increase employment.
Wolfowitz stressed that the World Bank would extend necessary support to the project.
