ANKARA, Jan 10 (A.A) - Felicity Party (SP) presented on Thursday a censure motion against Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit and the government on charges that they followed a wrong policy in natural gas.
SP group acting leader Veysel Candan presented the censure motion to the Office of Parliament Speaker.
Candan held a press conference in which he asked for the announcement of the price of cubic metre of natural gas purchased or to be purchased from Iran and Blue Stream Project.
Claiming that there was a tripartite theft in natural gas, Candan said that Pipeline Transportation Inc. (BOTAS) had 149 percent profit while the municipalities had 50 percent profit in natural gas sale and the state added 18 percent Value Added Tax (VAT) to natural gas price.
Candan noted that cubic metre of natural gas could be sold at 200-225 thousand Turkish liras (TL) if the necessary reductions including VAT reduction were made.
They were presenting the censure motion on charges that the government neglected and misused its duties due to wrong policies, Candan added.
