Inflow Of Russian Tourists To Turkey Not Much Affected By September 11 Terrorist Attacks

MOSCOW, Jan 9 (A.A) - Figures regarded with the touristic visits from Russia to Turkey in the year 2001 revealed that September 11 terrorist attacks did not have much effect on the visits.
Figures of 2001 showed that the betterment, which started in the year 2000, continued this year.
Turkey's Moscow Embassy Promotion Consultancy told A.A correspondent that number of Russian tourists visiting Turkey in January-November 2001 was 733,737.
This figure, which was 737,000 in 1997, had decreased to 404,000 in crisis atmosphere in Russia.
Number of those who visit Turkey from all the Commonwealth of Independent States are 1.360,147 in January-November 2001.
This figure was 1. 376.695 in the year 2000.
