State Minister Toskay In Germany

FRANKFURT, Jan 8 (A.A) - State Minister in charge of foreign trade, Tunca Toskay arrived in Frankfurt on Tuesday with a delegation formed by Turkey Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) representatives.
Toskay who will visit the Frankfurt Heimtextil (home textile) fair on Wednesday has said that the number of Turkish companies participating in the fair was increasing every year. He indicated that Turkey's textile export in 2000 was close to one billion U.S. dollars. He stressed that Turkey was one of the best countries in the textile field.
''I'm hoping that Turkey, despite the recession in the world economy, would obtain good results in the home textile field,'' Toskay said.
Toskay will hold a press conference after he visits the fair on Wednesday. He will return home on Jan. 11, Friday.
