Another blast on Iraq’s pipeline to Turkey

BAGHDAD - There are reports that saboteurs have again struck at oil facilities in Northern Iraq, again hitting at Baghdad’s exports.
According to the Reuters news agency, a main export pipeline near the city of Baiji had been damaged by an explosion Wednesday. When operational, the line is used to carry oil from refineries at Baiji to Turkey’s Mediterranean port of Ceyhan for export to the West.
Damage to another section of the pipeline late last week had already caused the suspension of exports from Northern Iraq.
