BURSA, Jan 8 (A.A) - Exports of textiles from northwestern province of Bursa increased 8.8 percent to 375 million 357 thousand U.S. dollars.
According to the data of the Uludag Exporters' Association, exports of textiles which had been 27 million 11 thousand U.S. dollars in December of 2000, decreased 0.9 percent to 26 million 747 thousand U.S. dollars in the same period of 2001.
Meanwhile, exports of textiles which had been 344 million 748 thousand U.S. dollars in 2000, increased 8.8 percent to 375 million 357 thousand U.S. dollars in 2001.
Bursa province exported textiles to 82 countries and autonomous regions and to 6 free zones.
The province exported textiles for the first time to Yemen, Venezuela, Morocco, Tatarstan, Kenya, Jamaika, Libya, Uzbekistan, Bahrein, Latvia, Tunisia, Moldova and the Philippines.
