Diesel Oil Transport From Northern Iraq Resumes

DIYARBAKIR, Jan 7 (A.A) - Diesel oil transport from Northern Iraq resumed on Monday.
The transport of diesel oil on trucks from northern part of Iraq to Turkey via the Habur Border Gate near Silopi township of southeastern province of Sirnak had stopped on September 18, 2001.
Sirnak Deputy Governor Resul Celik said, ''as you know, diesel oil trade stopped after the Saddam administration had cut transfer of diesel oil to this region. Diesel oil trade resumed today but the amount of diesel oil will not be much as in the past. Because, there is less diesel oil that region. So there will be daily 100-truck transport in the first stage.''
