Emlak Bankasi' Former Director General Ari Detained

ISTANBUL, Jan 7 (A.A) - Security forces detained 20 people including Erdin Ari, the former director general of the Emlak Bankasi, on Monday within scope of an operation.
Security forces from the Financial Department launched an operation against former directors of the Emlak Bankasi.
They detained 20 people including Ari, and took them to the Provincial Directorate of Security for interrogation.
Two persons including Ahmet Gurer Cetinbudaklar, the former director general of TARIS, the Union of Agricultural Products in Izmir were taken into custody in Izmir.
Three persons were taken into custody in Ankara within the scope of the same operation.
The operation had been started due to corruption claims in the bank.
