G.A.P. Region Exports 50.3 Million U.S. Dollars Of Sugar And Candy

GAZIANTEP, Jan 7 (A.A) - Exports of sugar and candy from the Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) region in the January-November period of 2001 rose to 50.3 million U.S. dollars.
In the same period last year, the GAP region exported 44.9 million U.S. dollars of sugar and candy.
Officials at Southeast Anatolian Exporters' Association told the A.A on Monday that they exported 25.8 million U.S. dollars in sugar, and 24.5 million U.S. dollars in biscuit, chocolate, candy and cake.
Most of the products were exported to Iraq, Germany, Uzbekistan, Jordan and Kazakhstan.
