CURRENT ACCOUNT DEFICIT INCREASES BY 44.1 PERCENT
ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's current account deficit increased 44.1 percent to 2,462 million USD in April 2005 over the same period of last year, Turkish Central Bank announced on Friday.
According to the balance of payments developments in January-May 2005 of the Central Bank, the current accounts deficit increased from 1.7 billion USD to 2.4 billion USD.
In January-April period, current account deficit rose 25.4 percent from 7,085 million USD to 8,885 million USD.
