SIS Announces Monthly And 12-month Inflation Rates

ANKARA (AA) - The State Institute of Statistics (SIS) announced on Friday that monthly inflation in May 2005 was 0.92 percent in consumer prices and 0.20 percent in producer prices.
     As of May, 12-month inflation was calculated as 8.70 percent in consumer prices and 5.59 percent in producer prices.
     In the first five months of 2005, inflation rate was 2.38 percent in consumer prices and 2.49 percent in producer prices.
     According to 12-month averages as of May 2005, annual inflation rate is 8.53 percent in consumer prices and 13.97 percent in producer prices.
