Aziz Says Turkey's E.U. Bid Is Also Important For Pakistan

ISTANBUL (AA) - Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said on Friday that Pakistan was open to all investors and it wanted to cooperate with Turkey particularly in automotive industry and construction sector.
     Addressing the Turkish-Pakistani Business Council meeting, Aziz said that the economies of both countries boom and the trade volume between the two countries attained 400 million dollars. Aziz said this figure should reach at least 1 billion dollars.
     Noting that there were many cooperation opportunities between the two countries, Aziz said that ''we can cooperate with Turkey particularly in automotive and construction sectors. We need building of bridges, dams, airports and also five-star hotels in Pakistan. Turkish businessmen can also invest in agricultural and food processing sectors in Pakistan.''
     Also referring to Turkey's EU bid, Aziz said that ''Turkey's starting entry talks with EU is important for Pakistan, because we are friend of Turkey. Everything that is good for Turkey will also please Pakistan.''
