BEIJING (AA) - Turkish Gendarmerie Forces Commander Gen. Fevzi Turkeri was welcomed with full military honors by Chinese Commander Gen. Vu Suangcan at the Armed Police Forces Command.
     Turkeri indicated that cooperation in fight against terrorism was to the benefit of the two countries.
     Stating that relations between Turkish Gendarmerie Forces and Chinese Armed Police Forces were improved rapidly after 1999, Turkeri noted that what was important was to cooperate to fight terrorism, organized crimes, drug trafficking and other crimes.
     Vu said that they hoped that Turkeri's visit would further improve cooperation between armed forces of the two countries.
     Later, Turkeri met Chinese Minister of National Defense Cao Gangchuan.
     Cao Gangchuan said that mutual visits between Turkey and Chinas would make the two countries become closer.
