BAGHDAD- Two large explosions rocked buildings in central Baghdad on Friday, but no damage or injuries were immediately reported.
The first explosion, an apparent mortar round, landed next to a hotel along the eastern bank of the Tigris river.
The second appeared to have landed on the western bank and hit around the Green Zone - a heavily fortified area that houses the government and the U.S. Embassy. Both explosions occurred at around 10 p.m.
