JERUSALEM - Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas are set to meet in Jerusalem later this month in what will be the first time the leaders of the two sides meet in the Holy City, Sharon`s office said.
"Prime Minister Ariel Sharon called Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmud Abbas to wish him a speedy recovery and said he looked forward to meeting him at their meeting in Jerusalem on June 21 in order to advance the items on the agenda," a statement from Sharon`s office said.
There was no immediate confirmation of the venue from the Palestinians.
