ISTANBUL (AA) - A delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) headed by Turkey Desk Chief Lorenzo Giorgianni met Independent Industrialists' & Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) executive board members in Istanbul on Thursday.
     The meeting is expected to focus on recent developments in Turkish economy and Turkey's medium and long-term economy policies.
     Following the meeting, the delegation will meet Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM) board members.
     IMF delegation will meet officials of the Savings & Deposits Insurance Fund tomorrow. Later, the delegation will have a meeting with Turkish Banks' Union Chairman Ersin Ozince at lunch. The delegation is also scheduled to meet Turkish Industrialists' & Businessmen's Association (TUSIAD) Chairman Omer Sabanci the same day.
     The IMF delegation is visiting Turkey under the first review of the new Stand-by arrangement between Turkey and the Fund.
     The delegation will proceed from Istanbul to Ankara on June 6th to meet with Turkish government officials.
