BAKU (AA) - Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Turan Morali said on Wednesday that Turkey didn't support a certain political section in Azerbaijan.
''We only want the wellbeing of Azerbaijan,'' said Morali who has been meeting leaders of political parties in Azerbaijan.
Turkey would do anything necessary for the wellbeing of Azerbaijan, said Morali in his meeting with Kudret Hasanguliyev, the leader of All Azerbaijani People's Front Party (BAHCP).
Noting that the international public opinion attributed very much importance to the region where Azerbaijan was situated, Morali said that Azerbaijan had a very strategic status in respect of energy and it was more advanced than other countries in the region.
Referring to the parliamentary election in Azerbaijan (in November) Morali said that Turkey was ready to assist Azerbaijan.
Morali also met Sabir Rustemhanli, the leader of Citizens Solidarity Party (VHP) the same day and Rustemhanli said in the meeting that ''Turkey and Azerbaijan should work closely for a specific goal which can be unification of the two countries.''
