ANKARA (AA) - Turkish Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc met Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz of Pakistan, who is currently paying a state visit to Turkey, in Ankara on Wednesday.
Speaking at the meeting, Arinc said that there had been sound relations between Turkish and Pakistani parliaments.
He expressed his pleasure with recent economic and social developments in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Aziz stressed that they would continue supporting Turkey's initiatives to resolve the Cyprus issue.
Referring to the Kashmir dispute, Prime Minister Aziz said that they had succeeded in setting up a dialogue process with India with the aim of securing lasting peace in the region.
Later, Prime Minister Aziz met Turkish Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul. He was also received by Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer.
