ANKARA (AA) - International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation, which will be headed by IMF Turkey Desk Chief Lorenzo Giorgianni, will start meetings in Istanbul with Turkish executives on Thursday (June 2nd).
Meetings of IMF delegation will continue in Ankara as of June 6th.
The delegation will meet representatives of Turkish Industrialists' & Businessmen's Association (TUSIAD); Turkish Exporters' Union (TIM); Turkish Banks Union as well as non-governmental organizations in Istanbul.
After completing meetings in Istanbul, IMF delegation will proceed to Ankara on June 6th and meet representatives of official institutions and organizations. Parties will discuss recent economic developments, progress which was recorded in structural reforms, and steps to complete 'the review'.
Officials will assess implementations of public finance and monetary policies as well as developments regarding 2005 targets. Within the scope of structural reform program, they will discuss activities regarding banking, public banks and tax reform.
