Japan Presents Prof. Dr. Otkan With Medal Of Merit

ANKARA (AA) - Japan awarded Prof. Dr. Pulat Otkan of the Ankara University with the ''Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette'' for his contributions to development of education of Japanese language in Turkey.
     Japanese Ambassador to Turkey Tomoyuki Abe said that Prof. Dr. Otkan, who has been acting as chairman of the Ankara University Department of Japanese Language and Literature since 1985, expended great efforts for establishment of the department.
     Tomoyuki Abe added that Prof. Dr. Otkan also contributed to development of scientific cooperation between the two countries.
