President Talat Of N.Cyprus Receives U.S. Congressmen

LEFKOSA (AA) - President Mehmet Ali Talat of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) received on Tuesday a delegation of U.S. congressmen led by Jim Colby.
     Holding a news conference following the meeting, President Talat noted that an urgent solution was required in Cyprus.
     ''The meeting with U.S. congressmen is a great opportunity for us. During the meeting, I told them that Turkish Cypriot people are in favor of a lasting and fair solution in the island. We have to resolve the Cyprus question.''
     Meanwhile, Colby said that they appreciated Turkish Cypriot people's supporting UN Secretary General Kofi Annan's plan in last year's referendum.
