Difficulty In France

Columnist Yalcin Dogan of ''Hurriyet'' comments on the results of the referendum in France on the European Union (EU) Constitution in its article entitled ''Difficulty in France'', published today.
     Dogan wrote in his article: ''Several reasons were listed for the 'non' vote but, French nationalism was disregarded. That nationalism is important on two different points.
     1- France's importance in EU decreases gradually. French people, who are one of EU founders, cannot bear it. That's why they said 'no' to the Constitution!..
     2- France, as the second big country in the EU, contribute more than other members. French people thinks that the EU is the reason of problems in the French economy and increase in unemployment rate. Their reaction is that 'there are many unemployed people in France, so why do we pay for people of other EU countries?'
     It seems unavoidable that this reaction will spread to other countries which said 'yes' to the EU Constitution. (EU's) Enlargement is in danger now!..
