U.S. Congressmen In Northern Cyprus

LEFKOSA (AA) - A U.S. congressmen delegation headed by Ed Whitfield, the co-chairman of the Turkish Friendship Group at the U.S. House of Representatives, arrived in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) this morning (Monday) to have a series of talks with Turkish Cypriot officials.
     Egemen Bagis, the chairman of Turkish-U.S. Interparliamentary Friendship Group, is accompanying U.S. congressmen during their visit to TRNC.
     At the Ercan Airport, Bagis told reporters, ''I am experiencing one of the happiest moments in my life.''
     U.S. congressmen will meet Michael Klosson, the U.S. Ambassador to Cyprus, in the U.S. Embassy's office in TRNC, this afternoon. After this meeting, U.S. congressmen will also meet TRNC President Mehmet Ali Talat. A press conference by PM Talat will be held at the end of this meeting.
