Saddam trial should begin within two months: Iraqi president

BAGHDAD - Iraqi President Jalal Talabani on Tuesday said he believed the trial of desposed Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein for alleged crimes against humanity would begin within two months, in an interview with CNN.
When asked by interviewer Wolf Blitzer when a trial for Saddam might begin, Talabani replied: "Within two months I think."
"The Iraqi government is now doing its best to prepare the ground for a court which will be able to decide ... about Saddam Hussein's future," Talabani told CNN's World Report Conference by videolink.
