French 'no' is not a catastrophe for EU: Verheugen

BERLIN - The vice-president of the European Commission, Guenter Verheugen of Germany, said the French rejection of the EU constitution on Sunday was "not a catastrophe" for the European bloc.
"This is certainly not an encouraging sign," Verheugen told state-run ARD television, but he added it was "not a catastrophe for the EU".
