BRUSSELS - Luxembourg Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker, who holds the EU's rotating presidency, refused to comment as he arrived at the EU commission Sunday shortly before exit polls from a crunch referendum in France.
Juncker and EU commission chief Jose Manuel Barroso embraced warmly outside the entrance to the European Union's executive arm, where they were due to address the press after the results were announced.
"I don't have any kind of results so I will not comment," Juncker told reporters gathered amid a persistant rain in Brussels' EU district. Barroso added: "We are going to speak later."
French voters cast their ballots Sunday in a referendum on the EU's first-ever constitution, with polls forecasting that they would reject it, in theory killing chances of it coming into force.
