RAMALLAH (AA) - Deniz Baykal, the leader of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), visited former Palestinian President Yassar Arafat's grave in Ramallah on Monday.
Baykal observed a minute of silence in front of Arafat's grave.
CHP leader Baykal later attended the reception hosted by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in honor of about 150 delegates, who will participate in the meeting of the Socialist International (SI) to be held in Ramallah tomorrow (Tuesday). Israeli-Palestinian peace process will be taken up in this meeting.
During the reception, Abbas said that peace between the two countries could be found through negotiations, and noted that this was the alternative they were backing.
