Talat: Property Issue Will Be Solved With Solution Of Cyprus Issue

LEFKOSA (AA) - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Mehmet Ali Talat said on Monday that property issue would be solved with solution of Cyprus issue.
     Talat said that he sent letters to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan and EU member countries, stating that he asked these officials to intervene in this issue.
     When asked whether he launched an initiative on cases filed against TRNC citizens who used Greek Cypriots properties in the north of the island, Talat said necessary preparations were made, but these preparations could not be made public now.
     Talat stated that they brought this issue during their meetings with foreign authorities.
     Noting that the issue was a political one and there was no need to concern over the issue, he recalled that some Greek Cypriot officials also considered that the issue could not be solved through cases.
