ANKARA (AA) - Chinese State Council member Chen Zhili and an accompanying delegation met Turkish State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin on Monday.
     Chen Zhili said that Turkey and China had good relations that had roots deep in history, noting that relations between the two countries had been enhanced thanks to mutual visits.
     Sahin said that they wanted to further improve relations in sports.
     Noting that China appreciated economic development and stability of Turkey, Chen Zhili said that Turkey had an important role in its region.
     Chen Zhili stated that Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer would pay a visit to China next month, indicating that such visits would consolidate relations between the two countries.
