ANKARA (AA) - State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said on Monday that Sri Lanka demanded to purchase 25,000 fishermen's boat from Turkey.
State Minister Tuzmen met Sri Lankan Minister of Trade & Commerce Jeyaraj Fernandopulle the same day.
Speaking in the meeting, Tuzmen said that the commercial relations between Sri Lanka and Turkey started to increase significantly in the last two years. The trade volume which was earlier about 10 million dollars, increased by 144 percent to 23 million dollars last year.
Fernandopulle in his part thanked Turkey for the assistance it sent to Sri Lanka after the tsunami disaster.
