Teliasonera: Cukurova Has Not Signed Turkcell Deal

ANKARA (AA) - Finnish-Swedish TeliaSonera Company, which earlier agreed with Cukurova Group to buy shares of Turkcell, stated that the Group has not signed the final deal.
     Releasing a written statement on Monday, TeliaSonera stressed that it would take legal action against Cukurova Group since the firm had not signed a final deal to sell a 27.2 percent stake in Turkish mobile operator Turkcell.
     TeliaSonera announced an agreement to buy the stake in March, raising its holding in Turkcell to 64.3 percent, but the finalization of the deal has been marred by talk of a rival bid.
