TEL AVIV (AA) - Deniz Baykal, the leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP) and Vice-President of Socialist International (SI) said on Sunday that the plan of Israel to withdraw from Gaza Strip was a very important step.
''We must support that, we must help those parties which support this plan,'' told Baykal in the Socialist International session held in Israel.
''Today we've listened to the Israeli point of view about Palestinian problem, it has been very useful. Tomorrow we will listen to the Palestinian view in Ramallah,'' Baykal said.
Baykal came to Israel last Saturday to attend the meeting of the Socialist International to be held between May 22nd and 24th.
