World Orthodox Leaders Summit Ends

ISTANBUL - Summit of leaders of Orthodox world, who convened to discuss Jerusalem Patriarchate problem, ended on Tuesday.
The summit was held upon invitation of Fener Greek Patriarch Bartholomew in Istanbul.
Leaders decided that patriarchate of Jerusalem Patriarch Irineos will not be accepted by other Orthodox churches.
A provisional official will be chosen in Jerusalem Patriarchate on Monday and new patriarch will be elected by receiving the authorization of churches in Jordan, Israel and Palestine as well.
During the voting in the summit, Poland and Antakya churches used abstaining votes, while Georgian church voted in favor of Irineos.
There were allegations about Irineos that his church leased property to Jewish investors in Jerusalem.
