NABLUS, West Bank - Israeli soldiers on Tuesday arrested a 15-year-old Palestinian boy carrying explosives at a checkpoint near the West Bank city of Nablus, military sources said.
The teenager, who was found in possession of two pipe bombs, was taken for questioning and the checkpoint closed, an army spokesman said.
On Sunday, a 14-year-old Palestinian youth carrying an explosives belt was arrested by Israeli troops at the same Hawara checkpoint.
According to the army, 15 Palestinians under the age of 18 have been arrested over the past two months at various checkpoints around the West Bank carrying explosives belts.
An informal truce has been in place between Palestinian militants and Israel since late January.
