Summit At Fener Greek Orthodox Patriarchate In Istanbul

ANTALYA - Headquartered in Antalya, the Santa Claus Foundation has filed a legal complaint at the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office against the Fener Greek Orthodox Church for holding a summit with the Patriarch of Jerusalem Irineos.
Santa Claus Foundation Chairman Muammer Karabulut indicated that the Fener Greek Patriarchate established a religious court to try the Patriarch of Jerusalem without paying attention to Turkish laws.
''Our lawyer Suleyman Cetin has filed a complaint at the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office via the Ankara Prosecutor's Office. Bartholomew and his representatives have acted against Turkish laws,'' said Karabulut.
In his complaint application, Suleyman Cetin remarked that the Fener Greek Patriarchate has ignored Turkish laws and held the summit to expand the area of influence of the Fener Patriarchate. ''A summit or court that the Fener Greek Orthodox Church would hold can only take place in a religious republic.''
