NEW YORK - The 24th Traditional Turkish Day Parade was held in New York, the United States on Saturday.
The parade pioneered by the Federation of Turkish American Associations started from the intersection of 56th Avenue and Madison Avenue and ended at the Dag Hammarksjold Park.
Turkish State Minister Besir Atalay; Egemen Bagis, the foreign policy adviser of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan; Turkey's Ambassador to the United States Faruk Logoglu; Turkey's Permanent Representative to the UN Baki Ilkin; and Turkey's Consul General in New York Omer Onhon joined the parade.
Shows performed by the janissary band and folkloric teams amazed thousands of spectators in New York.
